New reddit API limits of 100 API hits per minute, and I felt bad with https://github.com/benclifford/lsc-todaybot making 4 HTTP requests an hour!
One liner for posting a mastodon status from command-line (you need to get a token from preferences/development and put it in a file called `token`):
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer $(cat token)" https://botsin.space/api/v1/statuses --verbose -F status="I like cheese"
I found this API https://nina.api.bund.dev/ to the German national alert system - a bit too late to see what it looked like on the annual test.
But I wonder how often I'm meant to poll it without making anyone mad?
The cache headers say the alert list is valid for 10 years, which is probably wrong, given that official apps talk of alerts within 1 minute.
I have all these network connected RGB LEDs, you see, with the emphasis in this case on the R component.
Hi.
I'm Ben.
For fun I ride my bike around Berlin and build pretty things with LEDs and microcontrollers.
I'm also interested in programming language design/theory stuff.
I help with a refugee reception volunteer group in Berlin for people arriving from Ukraine.
I like dogs.
